Tappeti Volanti, started by Daniele Lipari and Michele Perna Bauer in 2021 (who were later joined by Irina Warner, videomaker, and Claudia Auzinger, dancer), was initially a musical project born from a commission by Cascadas gallery, Barcelona. It has then become an open and multidisciplinary collective, which tries to achieve different levels of sensory perceptions also through collaborations with other artists. Tappeti Volanti has its roots in the possible open and unknown paths of improvisation as fertile ground to take new ideas to work on, including building new instruments and using sounds found and recorded during travels.
